Every year Diageo offers full-time, paid internships for students currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Food Science, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or Distilling. During the summer these interns work in Plainfield, IL at our Brand Technical Center, or in any one of our manufacturing sites. As a summer interns you’ll have the opportunity to learn about roles in Procurement, Liquid Development, Package Engineering, Sensory Science, Engineering, Compliance, Quality, Manufacturing, Customer Care and Supply Planning. It’s a fantastic way to get to know our business. You will be highly visible and you’ll gain great exposure to many parts of the supply chain, interacting with suppliers as well as Diageo manufacturing sites.
You should have completed at least two years of coursework towards a Bachelors Degree in Supply Chain Management, Food Science, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Procurement or Distilling. Your minimum current GPA will need to be 3.0. We look for people with strong problem solving skills, and the ability to gather and analyze data. You’ll be good at working independently and be able to drive projects to their conclusion. Strong communication skills – both verbal and written - are essential. We’ll expect you to be able to show a real interest in your chosen career (supply chain management, engineering, food sciences, procurement or manufacturing management).
You must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the US and you must be of legal drinking age by the time you start work.
